Jeg jobber med romlig økologi hos marine organismer. Jeg bruker forskningstoktdata og statistiske metoder for å forske på hvordan utbredelse av maneter, krill, fiskeyngel og pelagiske bestander varierer i tid og rom. Jeg forsker også på  interaksjoner i Barentshavethavet ved å strudere fiskediett. Jeg leder verdens mest omfatende tokt - økosystemtokt i Barentshavet. Jeg er med på å uvikle helhetlige økosystemvurdering i Barentshavet.
