Summary of ICES advice, June 2010 for haddock in the North Sea and Skagerrak:
The stock has full reproduction potential and is harvested sustainably.
An agreed harvest rule (Norway/EU) has been in operation since 2009. ICES has evaluated the plan and concludes that it is can provisionally be accepted as precautionary.
The management plan and MSY considerations both corresponds to human consumption landings of 36 000 tonnes. The predicted discards with such landings are 17 000 tonnes.
Critical spawning stock(Blim) = 100 000 tonnes
Precautionaryl spawning stock(Bpa) = 140 000 tonnes
Critical fishing mortality (Flim) = 1,0
Precautionaryl fishing mortality (Fpa) = 0,7
Target fishing mortality in harvest rule: F = 0,3
Expected fishing mortality in 2010: F = 0.23
Expected spawning stock in 2011: 212 000 tonnes
