The current report presents translated extracts from ”Fisken og havet, særnummer 3-2010” that was published in Norwegian by the Institute of Marine Research, Norway, in January
2011. The current translation contains the Summary, and Chapters 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6 of the original publication.

The Coastal Zone and Aquaculture
The status report Kyst og havbruk, The Coastal Zone and Aquaculture, describes aquaculture production and the state of health of farmed salmon and other cultured marine species. In addition to articles on coastal resources and ecosystem based coastal zone management, the report contains topics of current interest.
The report is in norwegian, but has an english summary at the end of each chapter
Ocean Resources and the Environment
Havets ressurser og miljø, Ocean Resources and the Environment, is an annual status report on the most important species in the Barents Sea, the Norwegian Sea, the North Sea, Skagerrak and in the Norwegian coastal areas. The report also describes the climate and production state of these areas. In addition prognosis and topics of current interest are presented.
