Preliminary report of the international 0-group fish survey in the Barents sea in August-September 2001.

September-October 2001: Joint Norwegian/Russian acoustic survey: The main aim of the survey was to estimate the sizes of two pelagic fish stocks in the Barents Sea, the capelin and the polar cod, in addition to studying their biology and geographical distribution. An estimate was also made of a third pelagic species in the area, the young herring.

Hovedvekten i årets tokt ble lagt på å kartlegge utbredelse og mengde av loddelarver i Barentshavet. I tillegg ble Vardø-Nord snittet gjennomført.
