Svein Jentoft

Professor, Dr. Philos.

 

Dr. Svein Jentoft is a social scientist and professor at Centre for Marine Resource Management, Norwegian College of Fishery Science, University of Tromsø, Tromsø, Norway. He specializes in social and institutional aspects of fisheries and coastal governance and development. Dr. Jentoft has 30 years of research and teaching experience within this and other social science areas in Norway and internationally, and has published 17 books and a great number of journal articles, book chapters and reports. Among his recent books is “Fish for Life. Interactive Governance for Fisheries” (edited with Jan Kooiman, Maarten Bavinck and Roger Pullin), Amsterdam University Press, 2005.
