Tonje Knutsen Sørdalen
PhD student in marine ecology and genetics at UiA and IMR working on mating systems and how they may change under the selective pressure of harvesting. I am particularly looking at variations in reproductive strategies and mate choice within and between European lobster ( Homarus gammarus ) populations and Corkwing wrasse ( Symphodus melops ). The majority of the work is done in a marine reserve versus fished area context by using catch and release data experimental design, genetic markers and parental assignment methods.
Multiple paternity assessment and paternity assignment in wild European lobster ( Homarus gammarus ), Master thesis, Norwegian University of Life Sciences, June 2012.
