Mine hovedinteresser innen forskning er ernæring i forbindelse med reproduksjon og tidlige livsstadier hos fisk, der jeg har arbeidet med laks, kveite, torsk og berggylt. God ernæring i denne fasen er viktig for å sikre robust yngel, noe som er en forutsetning for god vekst og helse senere i fiskens liv. Jeg arbeider bredt med alle næringsstoffer, men har spisskompetanse innen harsking, redox regulering og antioksidanter som  vitamin C, vitamin E og selen.

Stamfiskernæring

Undersøkelser av ernæringsstatus av stamfisk i oppdrett i forhold til ville populasjoner. Alle næringsstoffer, torsk, berggylt og rognkjeks. Mulige årsaker til gytespreng hos torsk


Levende fôrorganismer

Næringsinnhold i rotatorier og Artemia og hvordan disse avhenger av dyrkningsdietter. Anriknings fôr og anriknings og dyrkningsmetoder for forbedring av fôrorgansimenes ernæringsmessige sammensetning. Alle næringsstoffer.


Formulerte fôr

Utvikling og karakterisering av formulerte fôr for marine fiskelarver.


Ernæringsbehov hos marine fiskelarver

Alle næringsstoffer, men med hovedvekt på mineraler de senere år.


Red-ox regulering

Red-ox regulering gjennom embryo- og larveutvikling hos marine fiskelarver. Effekt av ernæring.


Epigenetikk

Eventuelle effekter av suboptimale larvefôr på fiskens vekst og helse senere i livet og i etterfølgende generasjoner.
