About CDCF

The Centre for Development Cooperation in Fisheries (CDCF) at the Institute of Marine Research (IMR) is a Norwegian government aid agency with more than 30 years’ experience in providing development support to fisheries research , aquaculture and issues relating to oil, fish and the environment.

The CDCF represents the IMR and the Directorate of Fisheries, the main Norwegian institutions responsible for fisheries research and management respectively. Norway has a long maritime history, which has resulted in technologically advanced fishing and aquaculture industries. The combination of access to expertise and technology, together with broad worldwide experience, makes CDCF a powerful partner in the sustainable management of living aquatic resources.

Projects are mainly financed by the Norwegian Development Agency (Norad) and the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
