Nordic Climate Fish Conference

Nordic Climate Fish Conference 19-21 January 2011 at Solstrand fjordhotell.

Information and agenda

The main objectiveof this conference is to summarise what we know about the effect of climate change on the ecosystem in the Nordic Seas and the Barents Sea, with special emphasis on the effect on fish stocks and fisheries and how this relates to fishery economics and management. The conference is hosted jointly by the Nordic Network:” Climate impacts on fish, fishery industry and management in the Nordic Seas” (2010-2013), the Nordic council/Nordforsk project NorExChange (2008-2010) and Norwegian research council/NORKLIMA project FishExChange. All three projects are related to effects of climate change on the fish stocks and the fisheries, and its consequences to fishery economics and management.

The conference acts as an end conference for NorExChange and FishExChange and a beginning of the Network.

About 70 participants from 5 countries will attend, representing a broad range of scientific fields and management stakeholders.
