AnnDorte Durmeister

AnnDorte has been a research scientist in the division of Fish and Shellfish at the Greenland Institute of Natural Resources (GNIR), Nuuk, Greenland since 1996. Her responsibilities include, monitoring, assessment and research on snow crab and northern shrimp.

Her primary research focus is shellfish population dynamics, e.g. recruitment variability, reproductive potential, and how commercial harvest, ecological conditions and climate change may affect these dynamical processes. Recently she has also participated in developing strategic environmental impact assessment reports regarding oil exploration in Greenland waters.
Her research is relevant to the assessment and management of Greenland shellfish resources. She is a member of the NAFO/ICES Pandalus Assessment Working Group (NIPAG), and currently serves as chair and member of the ICES Working Group: Biology and Life History of Crabs.
